AC Smart Remote Pro
Package: com.smartremote.remotecontrol.pro
AC Smart Remote Pro ("the app", "we", "us") is published by Sigma Game
Developers, Gujarat, India. This policy explains what information the app
handles, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the Android app only.
By using the app you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not
use the app.
1. THE SHORT VERSION
--------------------
* There is no account, sign-up or login. We never ask for your name, email
address, phone number, address, contacts, photos, microphone or location.
* Everything you set up in the app (your ACs, names, timers, settings) stays
on your phone.
* The app shows ads (Google AdMob) and uses Google Firebase for analytics and
configuration. These Google services collect a limited amount of technical
data automatically. They are described in section 3.
* We do not sell your personal information.
2. INFORMATION THAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE
----------------------------------------
The app stores the following in its private storage on your phone. It is not
sent to us or to any server we run:
* Your saved ACs: the name you gave each one, the brand and remote model you
selected, and its last mode, fan, swing and temperature.
* Timers you set (when to turn an AC on or off).
* Your preferences: theme, language, temperature unit, vibration, "open last
AC at start", and similar switches.
* Small flags such as "onboarding done" and whether the rating prompt has been
shown.
* Data shared with the home-screen widgets and the Quick Settings tile (the AC
names, state and the infrared codes they need to work without opening the
app).
This data is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its storage in
Android settings.
Infrared (IR) commands are sent from your phone's IR blaster directly to your
air conditioner. They do not go through the internet and are not recorded by us.
3. INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY BY THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
--------------------------------------------------------------
The app includes the following services. They run inside the app and may
collect the data described below. We do not receive your name or contact
details from them.
3.1 Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK (advertising)
Used to show app-open, interstitial, native and banner ads.
Data: advertising ID, IP address, device and operating-system details (model,
OS version, language, screen), app version, approximate location derived
from the IP address, ad impressions and clicks, and diagnostic information.
It may use cookies or similar technologies inside ad content.
The app asks for non-personalized ads by default. Where the law requires it
(for example in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland) the app
shows Google's consent message so you can make a choice.

https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
3.2 Google User Messaging Platform (consent)
Shows the consent message and records your choice on your device so the app
and ad services respect it. You can reopen it from Settings > "Ad privacy
choices", which is shown where the law requires it to be offered.
3.3 Firebase Analytics (usage statistics)
Used to understand which parts of the app are used so we can fix problems
and improve it.
Data: an app-instance identifier, screens viewed, actions such as
"language selected" or "feedback submitted" (including the experience
rating and topic you chose, but not the text of your comment), device model,
OS version, app version, language, approximate location (country / city
derived from the IP address), session information and install source.
More: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
3.4 Firebase Remote Config (settings delivered from the cloud)
Used to receive app settings, such as ad configuration and links, without
releasing a new version.
Data: a Firebase installation identifier and your IP address, which is
needed to deliver the configuration.
More: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
3.5 Google Play services and Google Play
Used for the in-app review prompt and to open the Play Store listing. Google
handles this under its own privacy policy.
These services are provided by Google LLC and process data under Google's
privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
4. FEEDBACK AND CONTACTING US
-----------------------------
"Feedback & Suggestions" and "Contact Us" do not upload anything. They open your
own email app with a message already filled in. For feedback, the message
contains the experience you selected, the topics you chose, your comment, your
device make and model, your Android version and the app version.
Nothing is sent until you press send in your email app. If you send it, we
receive that email, including your email address and the content of the
message. We use it only to answer you and to improve the app.
5. PERMISSIONS
--------------
The app asks for only the permissions it needs. None of them is a "dangerous"
runtime permission, so Android shows no permission pop-up. (Exact-alarm access
is the one that can be switched on or off from a system settings page.)
Permission Why
---------------------------------- -----------------------------------------
INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE Load ads and configuration, show the
policy pages, check connectivity.
TRANSMIT_IR Send commands from the IR blaster to your
AC. This is the app's core function.
VIBRATE Optional haptic feedback on button presses.
SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM Fire your AC timers at the time you chose.
If you deny it, timers may run a few
minutes late.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED Restore your timers after the phone
restarts.
WAKE_LOCK Let a timer finish sending its command.
AD_ID (advertising ID) Used by Google's advertising and analytics
services (see section 3).
Google's libraries may add further normal permissions that are needed for ads
and analytics to work (for example, reading basic network state).
The app does not use your location, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar,
messages, files, photos or phone number.
6. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
-------------------------
* To provide the app: send IR commands, run timers, keep your ACs and
settings.
* To show ads, which keep the app free.
* To understand usage and fix bugs.
* To prevent fraud and abuse of advertising.
* To reply to messages you send us.
* To comply with the law.
7. SHARING
----------
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for
cross-context behavioral advertising of our own.
Data collected by Google's services (section 3) is handled by Google. We may
also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect our rights and
the safety of users.
8. RETENTION
------------
Data on your device is kept until you remove it, clear the app's storage or
uninstall the app.
Analytics data held by Google is kept for the period set in our Google
Analytics settings (between 2 and 14 months). Advertising data is kept by
Google according to its policy.
Emails you send us are kept for as long as needed to deal with them, and then
deleted.
9. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS
--------------------------
* Ads: in Android settings, open Privacy > Ads and delete your advertising ID
or opt out of ad personalization. In the app, use Settings > "Ad privacy
choices" where it is shown.
* Reset or remove data: clear the app's storage or uninstall the app.
* Uninstalling stops all collection by the app.
* Access, correction, deletion and objection: depending on where you live
(for example the EEA, UK, India or California) you may have the right to
access, correct, delete or restrict the personal information held about
you, to object to its processing, or to withdraw consent.
Because the app has no accounts and we hold no name or email for you, we
usually cannot tie analytics or advertising data to a person. If you want us
to look into a request, or to delete an email you sent us, write to the address
in section 14 and tell us what you need. We will reply within a reasonable
time, normally within 30 days, and explain what we can and cannot do.
We do not sell personal information and do not knowingly engage in
discrimination against users who exercise these rights.
10. CHILDREN
------------
The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect
personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal
information through the app, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. SECURITY
------------
Google's services send data over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Data on your
device is kept in the app's private storage. No method of storage or
transmission is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
---------------------------
Google processes data in many countries, including countries other than your
own. By using the app you understand that data may be processed in locations
that have different data-protection rules than your country.
13. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
--------------------------
We may update this policy, for example when the app adds a new feature or
service. The latest version is always available at the link on the app's Google
Play listing and inside the app (Settings > Privacy policy). The "last updated"
date above shows when it last changed. Continued use after an update means you
accept the new policy.
